I am an instructional designer with extensive experience in instructional design and teaching. Currently, I design and enhance online courses for a university, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and align with best practices in instructional design and technology.
My work involves developing new courses, revising existing ones, evaluating course effectiveness, and training faculty on emerging trends in instructional design. Recently, I have supported the development of online courses covering topics from the history of science to diasporic communities and disease, adapting them into accelerated formats. Additionally, I collaborated with the Physician Assistant program to design an educational escape room, collecting data to refine and improve it for the future.
While earning my master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology, I interned with the Connecticut Center for Nursing Workforce, working alongside the lead instructional designer to develop an online course for nurse educators. During this time, I enhanced my ability to transform complex content into engaging learning experiences, apply adult learning principles to maximize learner engagement, and evaluate courses to ensure their effectiveness.
I have experience with a range of eLearning tools, including Articulate Rise and Storyline, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, and Camtasia, which I use to create interactive and visually engaging learning experiences.
I apply agile project management methodologies and thrive in cross-functional team environments, ensuring smooth collaboration and innovative learning experiences.
