I am passionate about designing inclusive learning solutions. As a recent graduate of the Master’s in Instructional Design & Technology program at Quinnipiac University, I have had the opportunity to develop my skills in applying instructional design principles and adult learning theories to different projects. These projects include a workshop for a science department on how to prepare learner’s to plan and carryout investigations, a design proposal for a virtual biology lab and a website for assistive technology resources.

I have also had the opportunity to enhance my skills using different authoring tools. I developed interactive trainings with Adobe Captivate on various topics including google sheets, making cold brew and foundational chemistry concepts. Video and audio editing came into my skillset when I began using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition to create tutorials for my module on measuring and assessing vital signs.

Recently, I have gotten the chance to immerse myself within Articulate and Vyond. Articulate is a user-friendly platform that allowed me to create a module on updating staff on sanitary protocols within a hospital. I used Vyond to create an engaging animation on preparing for an upcoming flight at the airport.

Outside of the Master’s program I have developed my skills in consulting with stakeholders on using instructional technologies and applying pedagogy to increase learner engagement and satisfaction as a science educator over the last several years. Along with this, I interned with the Connecticut Center for Nursing Workforce (CCNW) on designing an online nurse educator preparation course where I worked directly under the lead instructional designer. In each experience that I play a role in, I bring a growth mindset and make fostering strong relationships a priority.
